Early Pregnancy and Gynaecology Assessment
The UCLH Early Pregnancy and Gynaecology Assessment Unit aims to provide a comprehensive service for women with problems related to early pregnancy and acute gynaecology. Women seen in the Unit are triaged on arrival and offered an ultrasound scan as part of the assessment. The majority of women seen are managed on an out-patient basis.
Gynaecology Ultrasound
Gynaecology ultrasound is provided for women attending University College London Hospitals. The ultrasound service can be accessed in several different locations. The consultants responsible for this service are Naaila Aslam and Joseph Iskaros.
Women with acute gynaecological problems are seen within the Early Pregnancy and Gynaecology Assessment Unit, T13, University College Hospital, 235 Euston Road.
Women requiring routine gynaecology ultrasound assessments are seen within the Gynaecology Ultrasound Department located on the 2nd floor lower of the Elizabeth Garrett Anderson and Obstetric Hospital, Huntley Street.
Women with more complex gynaecological problems are seen in one of the Consultant led clinics. These clinics take place within the Early Pregnancy and Gynaecology Assessment Unit and the Gynaecology Ultrasound Department.
In addition there are a number of Consultant clinics providing gynaecology ultrasound at the time of the gynaecology out-patient visit. Examples of such clinics include the Endometriosis clinic and the Rapid Access Gynaecology clinics.
